RISSC is a not-for-profit association, founded in 2005, that deals with security and crime.
The mission it to contribute at promoting social and cultural development on crime prevention by means of research activities, education/trainings and technical assistance initiatives on the most relevant criminal phenomena and their trends, on the causes/factors that facilitate crime and anti-social behaviour, and on the countermeasures to prevent/reduce both crimes and their impact. RiSSC studies main criminal phenomena and assess exsiting tools to prevent/contrast them.
The staff is composed of criminologists, sociologists, ICT technicians, and field experts.
Currently RiSSC is involved as partner and coordinator in several EU funded project, and some other initiatives (such as Siemens Integrity Initiative).
Main area of interest:

  1. Serious Technological and Organised Crime Unit (Trafficking activities (online/offline), Cybercrime, Terrorism)
  2. Anti-Corruption Unit (Corruption, Environmental Crime)
